Etsy Find: Helping at Home

I love Ladybird Books, who doesn't?
I learned to read with them, at a time when kids had a bottle of milk with a straw for  mid-morning school break. Now, that's going back a few years!
I wonder, do any of you actually polish at home?

  1. Oh this beautiful book! I've always loved that style of illustrations. I also read Ladybird books at school. I especially remember the Nursery Rhymes one, singing Baa Baa Black Sheep, Jack be nimble, Mary had a little lamb, etc etc way before we could understand what we were actually saying...

  7. Every once in a while I break out a soft cloth and some lemon pledge and polish the tops of the nice furniture (buffet & hi-fi circa 1960's). It goes back to my childhood when I would always polish while I played my parents records (Paul Simon to be specific). I still put on the same album for this ritual. Maybe our son will carry on the tradition.
